Calum MacRae

Calum MacRae, MD, PhD

Harvard Medical School at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, USA

Calum MacRae is a cardiologist and geneticist who trained in Edinburgh, London and Boston.  His research has focused on defining the mechanisms of cardiovascular disease, and the discovery of new diagnostic  tools as well as novel drugs for these diseases.  He has also worked for many years in physician education, and has a longstanding interest in innovation in this arena. He has works as a consultant to several pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. He is currently Director of the Cardiology Fellowship Program at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Co-Director of the Cardiovascular Pathophysiology course at Harvard Medical School. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
