Dr Andrew Sergeant

Head of Programmes and Development, North and Mid Hampshire Health Informatics Service (NHS)

Andrew holds post graduate qualifications in Business and Computer Science and has over 15 years experience in the IT industry and Healthcare informatics within the NHS. In the past he has worked in the private sector for a billion dollar US IT Consultancy company, working primarily on projects in the automotive industry for clients including Ford and General Motors. Additionally, he has worked on the corporate website for the NHS (www.nhs.uk) and on a variety of projects for two large NHS Health Informatics Services.

He also has won a number of UK IT industry awards (e.g. Public Sector Project of the Year, Computing Awards).

In his present role he leads on all IT projects for a Health Informatics Service representing NHS organisations across North and Mid Hampshire. Additionally, he is the lead Technical Architect for this Service.

Andrew welcoms the opportunity to be a Sitekit Fellow and to become part of a wider community of IT professionals who are interested in enhancing application delivery and automating human workflow processes via the use of advanced web technologies.
